When Australia was first colonised by people from the West, those people brought with them not only a broad social acceptance of gambling - many of them were from what is now called the UK - but an expectation of legalised gambling.

In short order there arose a thriving industry in horse racing (and in betting on their outcomes), and Australia soon developed legislation governing a great number of gambling forms, including most of the classic table games of European casinos, and gradually incorporating more local forms of entertainment.

Online gambling remains in an odd legal position in Australia: on the one hand it is technically not illegal for a person to play poker or casino games online, but on the other hand it is specifically illegal for any enterprise to offer online gambling services to Australians, provided they are respectful of Australian law. The reality is that the vast majority of online casinos and poker rooms happily accept Australian players, apparently unconcerned by threat of prosecution in Australia.

EDITED: Unfortunately I have had to remove your link as it is illegal to promote games of chance on Australian web sites. Until someone can show me a law satying otherwise all links relating to casinos and games of chance will be removed. Sorry, I don't make the laws.

I have been blogging since 2007. For years I made a few bucks here and there with Adsense and some affiliate sells, but I wasn't making enough to quit the day job for sure. I tried getting traffic from Adwords, SEO, Yahoo, article marketing, social sites, and even email. The problem was that I just couldn't get enough traffic to really make anything. Then I found out about a new way to buy traffic for so freaking cheap that it was nuts. I could then send that cheap traffic (for pennies!) to my blogs, get enough sales to realize a 1000% return on my investment, and suddenly my life was changed. I'm banking $300+ on a bad day now, and the future is looking way better. If you're sick and tired of only getting a handful of visitors to your blog, check this site out. I'm not some stupid foreigner trying to sell crap on DP. This is LEGIT! You will go from a few dozen visitors a day to thousands! ---> Blog Traffic Secret

Oz Recycle (http://www.ozrecycle.com) was featured on ABC Radio for a ten minute interview by Debra on the morning show Eco-Warrior segment on the 5th July 2010.

I was asked some very strange questions such as:
Why did we set it up nationally? (Would we set it up in any other way?)
What did we do to quality control the items which were offered? (what are we supposed to do? Go around to everyone's house who made an offer to make sure the item was in good condition?)

After spending the ten minutes being asked questions (which were not on the list of questions sent to me and prepared for before the interview - she didn't ask any of those) Debra decided it was time to give a plug to a site which we are not even involved with.

So much for taking my time seriously ABC and 'DEBRA' in particular! I hope it was worth your time. Just because you couldn't get an interview with the other people you wanted to talk to you decided it was time to try and discredit my efforts to help with an environmental issue and promote them instead! Last time I will respond to a request from the ABC for an interview.

I spend a lot of time in front of the computer monitoring items which are posted to www.ozrecycle.com and I hope people appreciate that I actually make a loss from the site.

Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.

I have also had issues with people who think it is immoral to promote any type of online gambling. The banner exchange does not allow this but I do not have a problem with it personally.
