Hands-on childrens reptile parties are back in Melbourne!
For those who haven’t been following Snakebusters, Australia’s best reptiles, you may not know that for the last two years we have been fighting criminal charges brought on us by our main commercial competitors via the regulator, who happen to be the same entity. Yes, those who compete against us, also regulate us! Continue reading childrens reptile parties hold animals is back!
Mobile snake displays
In recent years a new form of entertainment and education has emerged. It’s called the mobile reptile and snake show.
Yes, for decades there have been snake handler types travelling the agricultural show circuits and the like. But these were a different kind of animal.
These snake displays invariably had a man in a circular “pit” or defined area, handling deadly venomous snakes to the crowd’s amazement. In more recent years, there has been a greater emphasis on education, but when it’s all said and done, the public came to see the deadly snakes being handled at close range and in the hope that the handler may cop a bite. Reptile parties
Most children like wildlife and animals and reptiles are always among the more popular at parties.
While a small number have a fear of snakes and lizards, these days most are aware of the difference between the safe and unsafe kinds and in a party environment are more than happy to take

Snakes run hot today – Monday 19 September 2011.
Today, Snakebusters have had call outs to catch venomous snakes at Preston, Eltham (twice), Warrandyte, Research, Sommerville and Donvale. The Donvale call-out at Tindalls Road, was for an adult female Brown Snake sitting in the middle of the lounge room of the family home.
Yesterday we had call outs at Bacchus Marsh, Eltham and elsewhere.
In the last 24 hours the Victorian Ambulance service has reported two adults being bitten by snakes and carted to hospital. One bite was at Warburton and the other at Sunbury.
The snake man Raymond Hoser has issued a warning in the wake of these bites and wrong advice given out by others. Continue reading Hot weather brings snakes out early!
Most people following Snakebusters, Australia’s best reptiles, probably already know that in Australia, Snakebusters are the only hands on reptiles displays who let people hold the animals. That is opposed to other companies who compete against us and do show and tell instead, or perhaps let people just touch the reptiles at a Melbourne kids party,

Another week and then weekend has passed and yes, myself and my able staff did a heap of hands-on reptile parties, kids shows and more of the same sort of thing.
These are various events where we bring a load of reptiles to the home, or venue like a play centre, including snakes, lizards, crocodiles, frogs and turtles and give the kids the best fun time possible.
At the same time we teach them all some of the basics about Australia’s reptiles.
Now as the man who’s written the definitive book on the subject that was published way back in 1989, as well as published countless scientific papers on snakes and other reptiles, there is no shortage of what I am able to teach the kids.

In a rare sight in a wet year, the sun shone brightly on both days of the last weekend.
We had our usual Melbourne kids reptile party engangements, Victorian store openings and snake shows, kids parties Melbourne, wildlife displays and similar things.
But on top of all this, it was the end of Ramadan for the Turkish Muslims, who came out in force for a regular big event at Broadmeadows in Melbourne’s North.
One of the main attractions this year as in in years past was the Snakebusters reptile display.

Snake handling course in the Northern Territory of Australia
I’ve just been to the Northern Territory to conduct another “hands-on” reptile handling course.
Going to Darwin for a few days always makes for a very different week at work, even for the snake man.
So this week was slightly different to my usual hum-drum.

So some dudes called me from Toorak. It’d been a posh get togeather on New Year’s Eve when just after the fireworks I got the call from some distressed people being “attacked” by a Black Snake.
