To add a new article you need to be registered and author(ised) first. Once you have been author(rised) go to your profile page and at the bottom you will see a tab called 'Blogs'. Select that tab and you will see your previous articles that you may have created and various options. Click on the 'New Blog' link on the right to open the article editor.

Once you have the editor open you are able to type your article.

The top section of the editor window is the 'Introduction' to your article. This is the text that shows before the 'Read More' link. The second text area in the editor is the main content of your article.

When you have completed your article click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the editor window. You will now see your new article in your 'Blogs' tab.

If you need to edit your article go to the 'Blogs' tab on your profile or go to the article and click the 'Edit Item' button at the top of the article and make your changes. Don't forget to save your changes. When editing an articles the save button will either be at the top or at the bottom of the editor window, depending whether you accessed the editor through Blogs tab on your profile or directly through the published article.

When no activity is detected (and typing does not mean activity) for 30 minutes you will be singed out automatically by the system. With this in mind it is a good idea to either save your article frequently or have it prepared beforehand to copy and paste. If you have an article that you have created with MS Word or other word processors any formatting you have applied will be removed by the site. The best word processor to use to create your article is Notepad (which comes with windows) or Textpad (free download here). Neither of these word processors inject their own coding into articles when you are typing so the system does not strip anything from them.

I hope this helps make your blogging easier but if you have any questions please feel free to comment.
