Becoming a blogger here is quite simple but before you start we highly recommend that you read this complete article. It contains additional information about the guidelines to adding your articles to Blog Australia. Blog Australia aims to be a fair and clean site for everyone without having to be a 'Nanny' and moderate or censor personal articles.

All potential article writers are manually approved to ensure the integrity of the Blog Australia site. To become a blogger at Blog Australia please register here and then contact us. When contacting us we need you to provide some information about yourself and what you will be writing about. This is so we know what you would like to write about and create a new category for your article if required. It is also nice to know something about the people who contribute to Blog Australia. We don't share any of your information with anyone else so don't worry about receiving any spam from us.

Article writers should be aware that although you have the ability to publish your article we monitor all of the articles submitted. Blog Australia is open to a bit of controversy but there are some limits. To be fair to all contributors we will remove or move articles that break the following guidelines:

  1. Articles should be unique, not something you have copied and pasted to other sites (we use Copyscape to monitor for duplicate articles)
  2. Articles should not be just for advertising purposes but should contain informative and interesting information. If you post an article that contains too many links or contains no informative content we will remove it.
  3. Articles must be legible with good spelling. There is no reason why there should be any spelling mistakes. We provide a spell checker on the editor (the one with abc and a tick). Click on that and then look for the underlined words. Click on the word and spelling suggestions will be presented to you.
  4. You may not add articles which contain racial or religious abuse, sexual content, links to disreputable sites or any site that is unsuitable for a child to view. If your article is related to a sexual health issue we may accept that but not if there are overly-graphic images. All images must also be suitable and not contain extreme material.
  5. You may not post copyrighted material (unless you own the copyright) and if you do so it is your responsibility to ensure that you are not breaking the law. Our legal documents contain further information.
  6. Writing defamatory articles about individuals. If you do write articles about individuals you, as the auther, are solely responsible for the consequences.
  7. We record all IP addresses of blog authors. If you are accessing the site using an IP mask you will not be accepted as a contributor.

The guidelines are there to ensure that Blog Australia remains a 'clean' site suitable for all viewers. If you use the site sensibly and with consideration for others your articles will always be welcomed. If you abuse the trust we put in you your account and all articles will be removed and your IP address will be blocked. We don't want to do that, but we have a community and reputation to look out for and it would be unfair to allow one blogger to disadvantage others who are following the guidelines.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. Please enjoy yourself at Blog Australia.
