How many people do you see every day in your office or college talking about their fitness programs? Do most of you friends have big biceps? The answer to all these questions will direct you one thought that increasing number of people have started initiating in body building and fitness programs. While some may have to reduce weight, many start participating in bodybuilding activities to enhance their overall appearance. When it comes to people living normal lives, bodybuilding is not about lifting heavy weights or wining wrestling competitions. The trend is shifting more towards having a ripped and attractive body to flaunt. In fact, most guys step into it because they wish to impress the girl they like or get into modeling industry. Did we mention that today most modeling agencies prefer hiring model with ripped body? Well, this is also one of the major reasons why having a ripped body has become a new trend among youngsters.

Bodybuilding Golden Years

 

 

There have been many role models previously who brought the trend of bodybuilding into action. People who have literally grown watching Eugen Sandow, called the “father” of bodybuilding know how irresistible it was to start indulging into fitness program to get the same kind of muscular body. However, according to market survey, the real craze for bodybuilding built up when Arnold Schwarzenegger came into action. His on-screen presence in the movie “Pumping Iron”, encouraged masses to reconsider their fitness goals. That was the time when people started seeing fitness beyond just an activity to stay healthy and active. There was a huge jump in the total number of gyms and fitness centers all over the world. The age and period of has broadened since that time, but with different preferences.

 

 

Is Bodybuilding Overrated?

 

 

The only problem or pitfall of bodybuilding is that people begin the exercises to pump up their muscles, but are not aware of the correct procedures that often leads to giant sized biceps and over exaggerated body structure. This is the result of over-impulsive and untrained bodybuilders. Everyone wants to be muscular, and probably bigger than their fellows. There is no harm is keeping such aspirations, but one should be aware of the fact that everybody has different tolerance level. One thing that might be suitable for a person, may not be for others. For instance: having excessive lean body or face will not look appropriate with extremely full sized biceps. There has to be a proper control and basic understanding of your body and its requirements.

 

 

The basic point is full sized body is still not in trend.

The only thing that attracts people in regular life is a lean body structure with reasonable muscles. You need not have largest muscles in your group of friends to look trendy, having a ripped body with perfect muscular cuts will make you stand out in the crowd and this is exactly what is in trend. Remember the body of Brad Pitt in “The Flight Club”? This one movie changed the entire definition of bodybuilding and since that time there has been a perfect balance between a ripped body and extensively muscular body. They trend is to have the right proportions. Each and every muscle of your body should be just right, neither too big not too small bigger than it requires to be.
